| Assistant Conservator of Forest under Forest & Environment Department | Bachelor degree (or Equivalent) in Science or Engineering of any recognized University with at least one of the following subjects: Agriculture, Botany, Computer Applications/Computer Science , Engineering(Agriculture/Chemical/Civil/Computer/Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical), Environmental Sciences, Forestry, Geology, Horticulture, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Veterinary Science, Zoology (a) The Candidate must have the minimum standards for height & Chest girth and physical fitness which shall be verified by the designated Board, Shillong shall be as follows: Height(Cm) Male Candidate – 163 CM, Female Candidate – 150 CM Chest girth (Cm) Male Candidate – Normal – 84 Cm, Female Candidate – 79 Cm Expansion – 05 CM (Male & Female) The Following minimum height standards may be allowed in case of candidates belong to Schedule Tribes and race such as Assamese, Bhutanese, Garhwalis, Gorkhas, Kumaonis, Ladakhese, Mizo, Naga, Nepalese, Sikkimese, Lahaul and Spiti and those from Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya. Male Candidate – 152 Cm Female Candidate – 145 Cm b) Male Candidate must pass a physical test covering a distance of 25 kms within four hours on foot and Female must pass said test covering a distance of 16 kms within four hours on This test will be arranged by the Meghalaya Forest and Environment Department followed by a medical examination by the Medical Board Shillong/Tura. The Medical Board shall issue the Certificate that the candidate is fit to undertake strenuous outdoor work in the Forest Department. The selected candidates will have to execute an agreement and a bond with 2(sureties) for the sum of Rs 2,00,000/- or such other amount as prescribed by the Government binding himself to work diligently during the period of training and to serve the Government of Meghalaya. | 18 to 32 years |
