UPPSC Exam Pattern 2022

Currently, “UPPSC” conducts PCS exams in three levels/stages, with minor adjustments for UPPSC’s “Prelims & Main Exam.”
● Preliminary Exam: 2 Papers ( Objective )
● Main Exam: 8 papers (essay/ descriptive type)
● Personal Interview

UPPSC Prelims 2022 Exam Pattern

The UPPSC Prelims exam is the first stage of the exam. The UPPSC result of Prelims is used to shortlist candidates who will take the Mains test. The UPPSC Prelims exam will consist of two papers, General Studies 1 and General Studies 2. Candidates must appear in both papers for evaluation purposes.

  • The UPPSC Prelims test will have only objective questions.
  • The UPPSC PCS Prelims include a total of 400 marks.
  • The General Studies 2 Paper is of qualifying nature. To qualify for the exam,
  • 33% of the marks must be obtained.
  • General Education One paper is used to screen applicants for the Mains
  • stage. Its marks are required to obtain a hall ticket for the Mains exam;
  • nonetheless, it plays no part in deciding the candidate’s final merit.
  • Preliminary Exam Papers 1 and 2 have negative markings. For each incorrect
    answer, 33% of the total marks for the question will be deducted. However,
    there is no negative scoring for questions that are not attempted.

UPPSC Mains 2022 Exam Pattern

The UPPSC Mains test is the second stage of the UPPSC PCS recruitment process. Candidates who pass the Prelims exam will be invited to take the UPPSC Mains exam, which is the most crucial exam. According to the UPPSC Mains test pattern, there will be 8 papers.

● The UPPSC Main Exam is of the Subjective Type.
● There will be two papers: one in Hindi and one in English.
● For the UPPSC Mains exam, there will be two optional papers and four GS
papers.

UPPSC Interview

Following the completion of the UPPSC PCS Prelims and Mains exams, the Commission will invite the shortlisted applicants to attend the UPPSC Interview/Personality Test. This phase will put the candidates’ analytical skills to the test. Aside from it, the candidates’ general awareness, character, power/personality expression, IQ, and overall suitability will be evaluated. Candidates who do not attend the UPPSC Interview will be removed from the merit list

The UPPSC interview will be worth 100 marks

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission will disclose the final merit list after all phases are completed, based on the marks obtained by applicants in the UPPSC PCS Mains and Interview
